What is AIVatar?

AIVatar is an app that allows you to create magic avatars with AI using a couple of your photos.

What kind of photos should I use?

To make sure the avatars look like you, the AI needs 10-15 close up photos of you and 10 or so photos waist up and full height.

Make sure the photos are well lit and in focus.
Don't wear glasses or hats.
Don't wear excessive makeup.
Make sure there are no other people or animals in the shot.
Make sure the photos are in color, otherwise most of your results will be black and white.
Make sure to use photos with a variety of outfits and backgrounds. If something repeats in the photos (like a shirt or background), the AI will pick up on that it will be over-represented in the results.

What image formats are supported?

Anything that is supported by your iPhone is supported by AIVatar.

How long does it take to create my avatars?

It takes about 30-40 miuntes to train your AI after you upload your photos.
After that, you can generate unlimited avatars, it takes about 15-20 seconds per batch.

Do you store my photos?

We only use them to train the AI. Once the model is trained, your photos are immediately deleted. Storage is expensive 🙈

Do you store the AI model traind on my photos?

Once the model is trained, we store it for 60 days so that you can generate your avatars.
After 60 days, the model is deleted and will need to be trained again.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are processed by Apple. Please contact Apple support for more details.

Can I use this for kids?

Absolutely not. Not even if you are a legal guardian. This app is for adults only. AI is unpredictable and can generate some weird results and children should not be involved in it.
Using photos of children is a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy and will result in a permanent ban with no refund and you will be reported to the authorities.

Why is <some other app> cheaper?

Running complex AI models like this requires expensive GPUs, and since AIVatar is built by one solo developer, not a company with millions of dollars in VC funding, it needs to make money to pay the bills and keep it running 🙏🏻

I did! My name is Max, I'm a solo developer who loves playing with exciting new technologies. There are no VCs or big corporations behind this app, it's just me and my trusty laptop.
